Emei Qigong training: An overview

Group practices

In addition to the training seminars described below, several Emei Qigong teachers have ongoing groups for practicing Wuji Gong and other Emei forms. Some groups are in person, others online via zoom, some are hybrid. By changing our energetic frequency, we can change our destiny—individually and collectively.

Restoring health, restoring harmony

For centuries, the West has focused its energies on conquering the external world and controlling the elements. The benefits of this pursuit are all around us, in the comforts and conveniences of modern life—but we have lost a great deal along the way. The greatest loss can be seen in how we live: We are no longer in harmony with nature. This disharmony, this separation from nature, is very stressful. The hectic pace of modern life adds insult to injury. It’s hardly surprising that inner peace and a sense of calm elude most men and women today. Emei Qigong not only restores health—it also restores our harmony with nature, bringing deep relaxation and serenity.

Qigong is a bridge that makes it possible for a person to become exquisitely attuned to nature, like the sea turtles who swim thousands of miles to their birthplace or the monarch butterflies who alight in a particular forest. Birds know when a storm is approaching. Many animals sense when an earthquake is coming, often hours or days before the temblor strikes. Emei Qigong awakens our own innate abilities

The Emei training cultivates mind and body, in motion as well as in stillness. It is an ancient system for health, healing, rejuvenation, and spiritual development. It is a complete and comprehensive system that goes beyond physical forms and exercises. Yet it is also possible to simply practice individual elements as needed or desired.

Those who choose to walk the path of Emei Qigong will find a wealth of information about energy healing, exercise, nutrition, herbs, philosophy, consciousness, and spiritual awareness. Closely connected with Traditional Chinese Medicine, Emei combines medical knowledge with understandings that derive from Buddhism, Daoism, and the true nature of all things. It provides the advantages of the dynamic-arts training of Daoism and the deep meditation of Buddhism.

The system is laid out in an orderly style, removing guesswork about what to do or how to practice, and students learn in a graduated, step-by-step manner. The book “The Healing Arts of Emei Qigong” is the basis of the Level 1 training and lays out a strong foundation for practice, giving an overview of Emei Qigong’s principles and philosophy and providing instruction in several powerful healing methods. As students progress through the six training levels, which are described below, they learn additional techniques for self-healing and healing others.

Extensive and profound theory accompanies each level of training. Everything is taught in great detail, so students gain a thorough understanding of “why” and “how.” Anyone seeking a deep understanding of how Qigong really works will be delighted.

Level 2—Changing the Moving Program of Life

There are many things in life that are hard to make sense of. For example, if the key to a rewarding relationship is love, why is it that two people who fall deeply and sincerely in love with each other sometimes come to a bitter parting of the ways?

If good nutrition and exercise are the foundation of good health, why is it that some people who take great care to eat well and take care of themselves contract incurable diseases?

Why is it that one gravely ill person responds to medical treatment and recovers, and another person with the same illness, given the same treatment, dies?

The answer lies in the Moving Program of Life. The Moving Program is the manifestation of the pre- and post-birth energy of the Five Elements. The pre-birth energy comes from your previous lives, your parents, your gestation in the womb, and the time of your birth. The post-birth energy comes from your thoughts, words, and actions since the moment you were born. Those post-birth thoughts, words, and actions unfold along a course determined by the pre-birth energy. To change that course—to change the Moving Program of Life—one must cultivate the heart and transform the Five Elements’ energy. Heart cultivation is part of the Grand Method introduced in Level 1; the special cultivating method taught in Level 2 transforms pre-birth energy. Once the Moving Program of Life has been changed for the better, everything in your life, now and in the future, will flow more smoothly and positively.

Subjects covered include:

  • Five Element theory

  • The Grand Method for Changing the Moving Program of Life

  • Four Pillar Feng Shui

  • Meta–Qi Zhen healing method

  • Analyzing the Four Pillars chart to determine the balancing element

  • The empowerment to open Heaven's Door and Close Earth's Gate

Level 2 is a six-day seminar, usually taught in two parts. Students who opt to take the first half only will learn their balancing element and the meditation for Changing the Moving Program; in the second half, students learn how to analyze charts to determine the balancing element. Additionally, while most students take Level 1 then Level 2, this is not required; you may take Level 2 before taking Level 1.

Level 3—Chan–Yi Jing Healing: Clearing the Energetic Root Cause of Disease

The symptoms and sensations that characterize dis-ease, whether physical or emotional, are a manifestation of the body’s stored energy information. The Chan–Yi Jing Healing method taught in Level 3 is a system for locating the energetic root cause of a disease and eradicating it. The extraordinary method requires “countering perceptions and comprehension of events and reasons” and is grounded in a profound understanding of how energy is stored in the body. Students learn to rid the body of the residual energy information using this knowledge along with Empowered Objects. The combined approach is an powerful method for healing problems that result from discord of heart energy and the force of nature.

Specific topics include:

  • Emotional states that cause disease

  • Correspondence between mental/emotional imprinting and anatomical locations

  • Correspondence between mental/emotional imprinting and the major viscera

  • Symptoms and root causes

  • Ci Bei technique

  • The method for healing root cause

  • Meta–Qi Zhen supplement

This 10-day seminar is open to students who have completed Levels 1 and 2.
